to present CONVERGENCE 2009. This quarterly breakfast series showcases the issues that exist at the intersection of education, workforce development, and economic prosperity. Our theme for 2009 is ADVOCACY AND ACTION.
The 2009 CONVERGENCE series will focus on public policy and advocacy issues that relate to education and workforce development. “With President Obama, Senate ProTem Darrell Steinberg and Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson, we know that these issues will be at the forefront of the federal, state and regional agendas. We want to make sure that we utilize the platform here at Convergence
to not only discuss but advance this critical set of issues,” said LEED CEO David Butler.
The February 18, 2009 CONVERGENCE program will update
Sacramento
business, education and civic leaders on federal priorities in the critical areas of education and workforce development. This important discussion will help inform
