ON TOP OF THE METRO CHAMBER'S 2007 Regional Business Agenda is the continued focus on obtaining significant regional flood protection, to prevent against a major flood event destroying and disrupting our region’s economy.
Transportation also continues to be a priority issue. The Metro Chamber will focus on ways to leverage regional cooperation to get additional capacity for movement of people, goods and services. Securing funding for critically needed transportation infrastructure improvements is essential to ensuring a strong regional economy and quality of life.
Other key issues that impact economic development and business retention also remain Metro Chamber priorities—such as the regulatory environment, workforce development and business retention and expansion.
